Choffin’s Dental Assisting Program Gives Kids A Smile For The 11th Year!
Youngstown, OH – To celebrate National Give Kids A Smile Day, Choffin Career and Technical Center’s School of Accredited Dental Assisting will be seeing students from 9:15 - 10:15AM and 12:45 - 1:30PM on Thursday, February 2nd . This day is to provide free oral health care services to thousands of low-income children across the country. Free dental services such as examinations, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants and fillings are provided free of charge. Choffin is registered with the American Dental Association who provides toothbrushes, toothpaste, and other materials for the children to take home. Area dentists, dental hygienists, and dental students volunteer their time and skills to help the children. Choffin is providing the free dental services in conjunction with YSU and the HMHP Dental Clinic. Choffin has participated in the program for the past 10 years. This year, Choffin will service its own high school students as well as Headstart Preschool students.
