Prerequisite: Students must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or a
Registered Nurse with liability and accidental insurance coverage. This
course is designed as a post-graduate course for the experienced nurse.
The purpose of this class is to gain knowledge and skills for intravenous
therapy as designated in the Ohio Bard of Nursing Chapter 4723-17 of the
Ohio Administrative Code. This class has been approved by the Ohio Board
of Nursing for 60 contact hours through the OBN Approver Unit at the
Licensed Practical Nurse Association of Ohio (OBN-022-92). All courses
are 60 hours plus clinical time to be scheduled with instructor. Course fee
includes liability and accidental insurance. Textbook can be purchased.
