Admission Requirements: High School diploma or GED, Completed application, pass entrance exam, Proof of Hepatitis B Vaccine Series completion, acceptable Background Check and pass drug screening. This program consists of 624 hrs consisting of didactic and clinical training. Upon completion of the program the student will be able to sit for the “Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCB)”. After passing this Certification, graduates are entitled to the credential of “CphT”. The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmicist and performs various functions in the day to day operations of the pharmacy. Students will be introduced to a variety of classes including but not limited to:
• Medical Terminology
• Anatomy & Physiology
• First Aid
• CPR
• EKG
• Foundations for Pharm. Tech.
• Pharmacy Applications
• Pharmacy Operations
• Clinical Practice
