Admission Requirements: High school diploma or GED and pass pre-entrance examination. Acceptable Physical Examination including Step 2 Man toux and Hepatitis Series acceptable background check. Learn how to care for children in a home-based childcare facility, a play group, or preschool. You’ll study educational games, child growth and behavior, scheduling, age appropriate activities, nutrition, nurturing, socialization, and more. A fascinating course to help you reach your goals. Excellent preparation for work in child care centers, nursery schools, preschools, public and private schools and family child care homes. Child day care professionals may work part time or full time. No matter where you establish your career, your days will be busy and fulfilling. The initial course of 120 contact hours will prepare student for CDA. Upon successful completion of 120 contact hours, student will complete 480-hour internship in licensed day-care facility.
